While we're on the film beat, Frameline festival Artistic Director Michael Lumpkin gave us an early scoop that the Closing Night Film for Frameline32, coming up this June, will be Laurie Lynd's Breakfast with Scot, starring hunky TV actor Thomas Cavanagh (Ed, Scrubs) and handsome Ben Shenkman (Angels in America, Law & Order). Lumpkin assured us, "This is just one of many, many films we will be showing this year that deal with LGBT parenting." Can we call it a trend?

From Frameline's advance materials: "Perfect gay couple Eric and Sam's home life is disrupted when they're given custody of Scot, an 'artistic' waif who sings Christmas carols out of season and likes to give everything, including his pee-wee hockey uniform, 'a little more sparkle.'" Breakfast with Scot is described as an "only-in-Canada mix of homos, hockey and family values." O Canada!
