at Little Roxie (right next to Roxie Theater)

Calling all queers, filmmakers, trouble makers, curious folks and
academic types - Please join the esteemed panel

Stephen Kent Jusick (filmmaker/ED MIX NYC)
Dominic Angerame (filmmaker/ED Canyon Cinema)
Bill Basquin (filmmaker)
Samara Halperin (filmmaker/Prof at Mills College)
Jim Hubbard (AIDS activist/filmmaker)

and moderator Denah A. Johnston for a discussion of QUEER UNIDERGROUND FILM as part of Frameline's Queer Underground programming focus.

This panel aims to cover a number of issues relevant not only to the
contextualization and presentation of queer underground film, but also
the channels through which is available (when, where and to whom); the
venues in which this work is presented; the impact of technology on
filmmaking practice, presentation and audience reception; is
“underground” an obsolete term or has it morphed into more of a
philosophy than state of being? What does the future look like? We
will actively weave in audience questions, comments and participation.

Following the panel at 8:15pm is the Canyon Cinema Queer Underground
Program at the Roxie. There is plenty of time to get food/drink
between these events.
